Arjun Kapoor remembers his mom, while Tabu talks about the responsibility entrusted when working with kids of renowned makers

Mumbai: The makers of the upcoming black comedy film ‘Kuttey’ took a unique approach to launch the album of the film. The music of the film was unveiled through a musical extravaganza titled ‘Mehfil-E-Khaas’ (a special gathering). It boasted of live performances by Gulzar, Vishal Bhardwaj and Rekha Bhardwaj along with presence of Aasman Bhardwaj, Arjun Kapoor, Radhika Madan, and Shardul Bhardwaj.

At the event, an elated Tabu expressed how enriching her journey has been working with Gulzar and Vishal Bhardwaj. She said, “I have worked with Gulzar’s daughter in her first film, and now I will be working with Vishal’s son in his directorial debut. I am also working with my career’s first producer Boney Kapoor’s son Arjun Kapoor in this film. I realize that it’s a big responsibility that makers entrusts you with when they tell to work with their children. I am lucky that I came into films and happen to be a part of this whole legacy of working with stalwarts like Gulzar and Vishal Bhardwaj that has enriched my journey.”

While Arjun Kapoor got emotional and remembered his late mother. He shared, “I feel emotional today as I remember when I was young, I saw my mom liking such gatherings. I really missed her today and felt like she is watching this with me. I think art has the power that we tend to get emotional sometimes. So today I deviated from the film. But overall, working on it was an amazing experience.”

For those unaware, Kuttey is all set to release on January 13.
