Mumbai: With a career spanning almost a decade and looking at her diverse body of work, Anushka Sharma can be heralded as the most successful and versatile actress.
The actress was last seen sharing screen space with Shahrukh Khan in the 2018 film, ‘Zero’.
Well, the diva is now gearing up for the sports drama Chakda Xpress. With this, she is all set to bring to life the tale of Indian women cricketer, Jhulan Goswami.
The actress keeps sharing pictures and videos from her training sessions which gets her fans super excited about the film. The actress announced the film in January 2021 by sharing a teaser of it. The film went on floors earlier this month.
Reportedly, after she wraps up the current shoot in Mumbai, Anushka and the crew are expected to fly to the UK next month for an extensive schedule.
Directed by Prosit Roy, Chakda ‘Xpress is based on the life of Jhulan Goswami, who became the second Indian woman cricketer to receive the Padma Shri, in 2012. The film will be released on an OTT platform in 2023.
