Review

Directed by Raaj Aashoo and written by Seepi Jha, this rural slice-of-life drama tries hard to shed light on the plight of daily wage earner villagers. But unfortunately, they have nothing novel to offer. With such a concept where you are trying to highlight the struggles and deceit, the film should have strong emotional moments. Which Woh 3 din lacks.

Furthermore, the film also lacks tension-laden moments to keep us hooked. There were no interesting confrontations or plot twists. The climax was also quite predictable.

Even though the film has a runtime of close to two hours, the screenplay itself is languid, maybe reflecting the slow-paced village life.

The dialogues have been kept in sync with the tonality and the approach of the film. Additionally, the costumes are authentic and non-glamorous.

Talking of other technical aspects, the cinematographer has done a fine job. Be it capturing the beauty of a small town using wide angles, or using close-ups for grabbing the details and lifestyle. The editing could have been better if a few scenes would have been trimmed down.

The songs of the film are also easily forgettable. But, the background score contributes to the proceedings.

Talking about performances, despite the poor execution, Sanjay Mishra’a antics are the only thing keeping your eyes glued to the screen. This is not the first time Sanjay Mishra has essayed the role of a villager. This time too, he adds his touch to the character which manages to hold our attention. The rest of the cast, including Chandan Roy Sanyal and Rajesh Sharma, play their parts well. However, Purva Parag’s had less screen time.

Overall, the film is to be watched only for Sanjay Mishra’s outstanding performance.
