Bhopal, President Ram Nath Kovind will visit Madhya Pradesh from May 27-29 during which he will attend several programmes in different parts of the state, officials said here on Tuesday.
On his arrival in Bhopal on May 27, the President will be welcomed by Madhya Pradesh Governor Mangubhai Patel and the Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan, the officials said.
The next day, he will take part in the foundation stone laying ceremony of new health institutions.
On May 29, President Kovind will address participants at the All-India Ayurveda Conference in Ujjain’s Kalidas Academy.
According to the officials, Kovind is also scheduled to visit Mahakaleshwar temple in Ujjain after which he will leave for New Delhi via Indore.
Meanwhile, the Chief Minister chaired a meeting to review the preparations for the proposed visit.
The meeting was attended by Chief Secretary Iqbal Singh Bains, Director General of Police Sudhir Saxena, Additional Chief Secretary (Home) Rajesh Rajora, ACS (Health) Mohammed Suleiman, among other senior state officials.
