Los Angeles: Selena Gomez has admitted that she is not the ‘best cook’ in a hilarious trailer from her new show Selena + Chef. In the clip shared to her Instagram account, it sees the singer, accidentally set food on fire and serve a raw cheese soufflé as she learns how to cook in quarantine.
The trailer starts with Selena saying: ‘I really love to eat but I’m not the best cook!’ It then shows a series of disastrous events with the star serving her grandparents and friends raw cheese soufflés.
Her pal takes a bite and declares: ‘It’s not done,’ to which Selena then investigates and adds: ‘That’s not done!’ And things take a more disastrous turn when she cooks fish as the dish sets on fire in the oven, to which her friend opens the door and yells: ‘This is on fire!’
Another hilarious moment sees Selena gagging as she cuts up an octopus for one seafood dish.
While she jokes to her grandparents: ‘Oh, I am getting nervous… then again, I did sign up to look like a fool on HBO Max!’ To which her grandfather quips: ‘You’d be good at that!’
Selena captioned the video with: ‘Selena + Chef Trailer me trying to be a graceful cook.. my cooking show is streaming 8/13 on @hbomax @maxpop.’
