Bollywood actor Ranveer Singh has requested more time to engage in the investigation into the nude photographs case filed against him, says police.
On August 22, Ranveer Singh was summoned to give a statement in connection with a First Information Report (FIR) filed against him at the Chembur police station.
Mr Singh has asked for more time to appear before the police and participate in the investigation, according to a police official.
On August 12, Chembur police officers went to Ranveer Singh’s home to serve him with a summons to join the investigation, but they were informed that he was not in Mumbai and would return on August 16.
Last month, an FIR was filed against Singh at Chembur police station based on a complaint filed by an officer of a non-profit organisation.
The actor “hurt the sentiments of women in general and insulted their modesty through his photographs,” the complaint claimed.
