Sarang distributes letters of interest to beneficiaries of street vendors

Team Absolute|Bhopal Medical Education Minister Vishwas Sarang on Wednesday took part in Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s PM Street Vendors Atmanirbhar Nidhi “Swanidhi Samvad” programme. A large number of people listened to the Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s Samvad through video screen at Ashoka Garden. Later, Sarang distributed letters of interest of the PM Street Vendors Scheme to the beneficiaries of the area. He said that Madhya Pradesh ranks first in the country in the PM Street Vendors Atmanirbhar Nidhi Yojana. More than one lakh beneficiaries in Madhya Pradesh have taken advantage of the scheme. Sarang said that working capital and interest subsidy of up to Rs. 10,000 is being given to the street vendors without security for small business under the scheme. There is a provision in the scheme that an additional amount of Rs 1200 per year and Rs 20 thousand working capital next year on timely repayment of loan will be provided for working on digital transactions. The government will continue to provide assistance even as they progress in their work towards self-sufficiency. He said that loans up to Rs 10 thousand will be approved under the scheme. During the Corona crisis, a scheme has been prepared to ensure the economic interests of the hawkers, hand cart owners and footpath vendors. Madhya Pradesh has been leading in providing benefits of the scheme.
