The actress feels ‘at risk’ of Covid due to having diabetes as she poses up a storm for new shoot
Los Angeles: Halle Berry has revealed that she is ‘very strict’ about quarantining and who makes up her bubble of people during the coronavirus crisis.
The Hollywood star, told the latest issue of a magazine that she even has a special section of her home dedicated to belongings bought from the outside world and that they have to sit in ‘purgatory’.
Halle admitted that she feels ‘at risk’ from Covid-19 due to having diabetes, she was diagnosed with Type 2 after falling dramatically ill on the set of US series Living Dolls in 1989.
Studies have shown that patients with Type 1 or type 2 diabetes face up to three times the risk of dying if they catch Covid-19.
Type 2 diabetes is a common condition that causes the level of sugar (glucose) in the blood to become too high. You may need to change your diet, take medicines and have regular check-ups.
Talking to the magazine, she said: ‘I do feel at risk. I’m very strict about quarantining and who is in my bubble.
‘We have a whole section of the house: When you go out in the world and buy something, it has to sit in this purgatory.’
During the candid interview, Halle also revealed that she thought she had bone cancer after breaking three ribs while filming John Wick: Chapter 3 — Parabellum in 2019.
The star explained that she didn’t experience any pain and was suddenly left unable to breathe on set.
